Dr. Krista M. Ramonas is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist currently in private practice at in San Francisco and the East Bay. She is a Clinical Instructor at The University of California, San Francisco where she completed fellowship training in 2005. She specializes in medical and surgical ophthalmology with a focus on eyelid and facial rejuvenation through the use of state-of-the-art, noninvasive techniques.


A well recognized expert in her field, Dr. Ramonas is a consultant for Allergan, the company that makes Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm, and served as a lecturer for their most recent ”Lose your 11’s“ campaign.


Dr. Ramonas received her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University and her medical degree from Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. She holds hospital appointments at California Pacific Medical Center, University of California-San Francisco, St. Mary’s Medical Center and San Francisco General Hospital.


She is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She has authored and co-authored several articles in the ophthalmic literature.
