A native Californian, Kathleen Kennedy was born in Berkeley and received her Bachelor's degree with honors from UCLA in1983. She received her doctorate in Optometry from UC Berkeley in 1988.
Dr. Kennedy was chosen for the "Young Optometrist of the Year" award by the California Optometric Association, as well as 20/20 magazine's "Best and Brightest" award. Dr. Kennedy is also a member of the Castro Lions, and is past president of the San Francisco Optometric Society.
